What is visual mixing?

Painting + DJ'ing at the same time. 

You have to experience it to understand. 

It all began when…

I would often live stream my painting process on social media via Instagram, Periscope, Twitter and Facebook live sessions.  During those streams I would play off of my personal playlists as well as off the cuff songs based on my mood while I was painting.  During and after each session, I would be asked what I'm playing from the people watching.  A close friend, mentor and DJ master, EIII, pointed out that I was actually DJ'ing during my sessions.  He taught me the mechanics of how to work the CDjs and blessed me with my first gig opening up for Watch the Duck. The inspiration and development of the process has been flowing ever since. I always start with a blank canvas and by the end of the mix an image appears. It's an out of body experience I hope to continue to share with many people in many places.
